Research the context

When we started our study on the impact of old age on older people, we assumed that the difficulties they faced in their daily lives were mainly related to their physical condition, due to the loss of mobility.

However, our interviews quickly revealed that psychological factors—social connection, purpose, and outlook—had far greater impact on their perceived quality of life than the physical limitations we had presumed were central.

Imagine the solution

After analysing existant solutions and evaluating our ideas against user needs, technical feasibility, and potential impact, we converged on the concept of Liens - a platform facilitating intergenerational workshops where skills, knowledge, and passions could be shared.

We developed comprehensive storyboards illustrating two primary use cases: These narratives helped validate our concept while identifying potential pain points in the user journey.

On-site support

Partnership with existing workshops

Multi-canals support

06. Interface Design

We tested our design multiple times with users from our target audience to get feedback on:

  • How easy it was to navigate

  • How clear the information was

  • How they felt using it

  • How confident they were in completing tasks

Their feedback helped us improve the design, making sure it met their needs.

  • Seniors preferred clear, written instructions

  • Icons needed text labels for better comprehension

  • Workshop booking flow required simplification

  • Search functionality needed refinement

07. The next steps..

We also planned to get in touch with local governements, associations, trying differents communication campagnes along with the platform such as making TikTok / shorts videos to promote with young people, intergrating colums in local newspaper to reach out seniors..

Continuously test, measure and refine to achieve meaningful outcomes and impactful solutions with the first key mesures such as : workshop reservation rates, participation rates, sastifation.
